“For the remuneration of a mitzvah is a mitzvah …” The Sfas Emes explains that no deed or action is accomplished without Siyata D’Shmaya – Divine Assistance, even mitzvos and maasim tovim. Therefore the reward that Hashem proffers for doing one mitzvah is the opportunity for the individual to perform another mitzvah.  |
